Hi, I’m Manya Brown
I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC-T) in Arizona. I specialize in anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), women’s health, postpartum disorders, gender identity and sexual-orientation, and life transitions.
My therapeutic approach draws from several research-supported modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Person-Centered Therapy. I believe the relationship between counselor and client is foundational to healing, and I work to build that foundation on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect.
I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and encouraged as they take steps forward—no matter their pace or the obstacles in front of them. Therapy is a collaborative effort between counselor and client, working together to gather courage, confidence, and strength to create a more fulfilling life. My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little more connected to yourself and a little more capable of building the life you want.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, thrifting, biking, and exploring Arizona with my family.
I receive direct clinical supervision by AZBBHE-approved supervisors, Virginia Kuhn, MA LPC, and Taylor Oberhelman-McLeod, MA LPC.
